Guided trip to one of the most lonely and beautiful huts in the northern area of the National Park. Crossing Nahuel Huapi by boat, sleeping in the hut, chatting by the fire and skiing with the lake at your feet. This is an incredible option if you are venturing into the activity.

Food in the mountains

We recommend packing your snacks of choice for those long days in the mountains. Same goes for your favorite beverages. Eating well is key for keeping your strength up out in the wild. And to cope with the loss of appetite, the best you can have is a wide variety of food at your disposal, from sweet to sour and salty. Carrying at least 2 liters if water is essential.

Accommodation during the trip

We’ll sleep at the hut. There are no services available at Dormilon. We’ll only need our sleeping bags.

Travel and rescue insurance

An insurance plan is mandatory to protect yourself from the unexpected. Check with your insurance company on the details about coverage and policies. Feel free to contact us for details or in doubt.

Day 2: Summit day. After breakfast, we’ll go out and give our all in the search for Dormilon’s summit. Then we’ll point our skis to the lake and descent back to our home, the hut. After we pack our stuff, we’ll share a couple of drinks with our local guide and head back to Villa La Angostura. Our trip has ended, we give each other a huge hug and part ways full of experiences from this beautiful activity of backcountry skiing.
