Jeremías Palavecino
Co-Founder BCC | AAGM Ski Guide | MTB Instructor - GSMBC
Passionate about the mountains since a young age, Jeremías Palavecino was born in Miramar (Buenos Aires), by the sea, and grew up in Ushuaia, in the heart of Tierra del Fuego. He currently lives with his family in Bariloche, where he combines his love of nature with his professional calling.
He is a Ski Patroller, Outdoor Educator and Leave No Trace Master Educator certified by NOLS, and a Level 1 MTB instructor with GSMBC. He is also a Professional Ski Mountaineering Guide (AAGM) and a professional member of the American Avalanche Association. His snow and avalanche training includes studies at prestigious institutions such as AAGM, AIARE, Mountain Safety and Silverton Avalanche School (PRO1, Niseko, Japan).
With almost a decade of experience guiding ski touring and splitboarding, Jere has found the perfect combination in education and nature. His passion led him to co-found Backcountry Cooperative, a project that allows him to share his knowledge and his love of the mountains with fellow adventurers.
In the MTB field, he trained with the GSMBC school. This independent organization was created by the original architects and leaders of the PMBIA (Professional Mountain Bike Instructors Association), who have more than 20 years of experience developing the standards of the mountain biking industry. The school was founded with the goal of offering an advanced, modern and more accessible global certification and education system for coaches around the world, and is based in Canada
