Jeremías Palavecino

Passionate about the mountains from a young age, Jeremías Palavecino was born in Miramar (Buenos Aires) by the sea and grew up in Ushuaia, in the heart of Tierra del Fuego. He now lives with his family in Bariloche, where he combines his love for nature with his professional career.

He is a Rescue Patroller, Outdoor Educator, and Leave No Trace Master certified by NOLS. Additionally, he is a Certified Ski Mountaineering Guide (AAGM) and a professional member of the American Avalanche Association. His snow and avalanche training includes studies at renowned institutions such as AAGM, AIARE, Mountain Safety, and Silverton Avalanche School (PRO1, Niseko, Japan).

With nearly a decade of experience guiding ski touring and splitboarding, Jere has found the perfect balance between education and nature. His passion led him to co-found Backcountry Cooperative, a project that allows him to share his knowledge and love for the mountains with fellow adventurers.

“Doing what I love, educating, and being in nature is the perfect combination. That’s why we created Backcountry Cooperative—to turn our passion into a way of life.”
